- service providers that assist with a credit or finance application.
We only seek to collect information from other sources where it is reasonably necessary for the services we provide or otherwise permitted or required by law.
7. Why Do We Collect and Use Personal Information?

- credit circumstances; and

Where practical, sensitive supporting information and documents are handled through secure broker, aggregator, lender or document-management systems rather than through ordinary public website forms.
Credit-related information may also be exchanged with lenders and other authorised organisations involved in considering or processing a loan or finance application.
Different organisations involved in the credit process, including lenders and credit reporting bodies, may have their own privacy and credit-reporting obligations and privacy policies.
10. Computer-Assisted Product Matching and Decision Support
Broker technology platforms used by TriLending or our mortgage aggregation network may use computer-assisted systems to help compare, filter or identify loan products based on information provided about your circumstances and requirements.
These systems may assist a broker in reviewing available products and identifying options for further consideration.
Technology-based product matching does not replace the broker’s professional assessment.
TriLending considers your circumstances and the available information before providing credit assistance or making a recommendation.
Final lending and credit approval decisions are made by the relevant lender in accordance with its own lending criteria, policies and assessment processes.
11. Unsolicited Personal Information
Sometimes we may receive personal information that we did not request.
Where this occurs, we will consider whether the information is reasonably necessary for our functions or activities and whether we would otherwise be permitted to collect it.
Where we are not permitted or required to retain unsolicited personal information, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it where appropriate.
12. Who May We Disclose Personal Information To?
We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to provide our services or operate our business.
Depending on the circumstances, recipients may include:
- BLSSA Pty Ltd, as the holder of the Australian Credit Licence under which we are authorised;
- Loan Market Group, our mortgage aggregator, broker network and associated entities;
- MyCRM and associated broker technology providers, where applicable;

- lenders mortgage insurers;
- valuers;
- loan and finance intermediaries;
- co-applicants, co-borrowers and guarantors where appropriate;
- your authorised representatives;
- solicitors, accountants, conveyancers and settlement agents;
- organisations involved in processing or administering a finance application;
- website hosting, email, technology, analytics, booking, security and communications providers;
- professional advisers, consultants and contractors;
- government departments, regulators, courts, tribunals, law-enforcement agencies or other bodies where disclosure is authorised or required by law; and

Some organisations and technology providers that support TriLending, Loan Market Group and the credit assistance process may operate infrastructure or process information outside Australia.
Loan Market Group advises that personal information handled through its services may be processed or accessed in overseas locations including:

- the European Union;
- the United States; and
- the Asia-Pacific region, including New Zealand and the Philippines.
Other technology providers used in connection with our website, communications or business operations may also process information outside Australia.
The location of particular service providers and data-processing facilities may change over time.
Where we disclose personal information to an overseas recipient and Australian privacy laws require us to do so, we take reasonable steps appropriate to the circumstances to ensure that the information is handled consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements, subject to any exceptions provided by law.
